Kevin Kenny, a Homeland Security veteran, is a seasoned law enforcement professional with 22 years of experience under his belt.
Located between Fort Lauderdale and Miami, Kevin is a practiced expert in this field, having handled high-profile criminal investigations in these regions. Cases he has led have encompassed sex trafficking, anti-money laundering, cybercrimes, narcotics smuggling and many other safety concerns for the American people. Throughout his career, he saw numerous promotions and had the opportunity to partner with the US Secret Service and the New York Police Department to provide security details at the United Nations General Assembly in New York City.
Prior to his long-winded position as a Senior Special Agent and Criminal Investigator, Kevin Kenny’s role for Homeland Security was as a US Customs and Border Protection Officer. Here, he played a frontline role in the country’s anti-terrorism efforts, interacting with those traveling in and out of the country. At the Key West Port of Entry, he conducted inspections on private aircraft, cruise ships and private vessels. In preparation for this role, he served as a US Customs Inspector, working primarily to adhere to immigration laws and prevent drug smuggling. Preliminary to working on classified missions and protecting national security, Kevin worked shortly as a probation officer in Fort Lauderdale.
Kevin Kenny, in his Homeland Security career, has many storied experiences. As a first-generation Irish American, he holds his American citizenship very highly, honoring his commitment to the country, which has given him various opportunities for career advancement and success. He has contributed greatly to society, having received various awards for his work ethic and dignity in his roles. Outside of his paid career, Kevin has also been involved with the San Diego Emerald Society, the Federal Law Enforcement Emerald Society and the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association. Other involvements in his community include being an active member of his local Roman Catholic church and participating in church and school-related activities in which he and his family are involved.
Having been born and raised in one of Florida’s sports capitals, Kevin Kenny of Homeland Security enjoys pursuing this as a hobby and cheering on his favorite teams in the area. Kevin can often be found hyping up the following teams: the Miami Dolphins, Miami Heat, Florida Panthers, Florida Marlins, Inter Miami FC and the Florida Gators, which play for the college he graduated from. As many sports fans can relate to, routing for one’s home team incites a unique level of passion that out-of-town fans may not be able to relate to. Kevin feels privileged to have many of his favorite teams essentially playing in his own backyard, as it has enabled him to attend many games throughout his lifetime. In addition to his home teams, he pays homage to his European heritage by following international soccer teams such as Manchester United, the Republic of Ireland’s soccer team and even the United States’ soccer team.
